Venersborg Historic Preservation Society (VHPS) is sponsoring a free seed and starter plant exchange at our historic Venersborg Schoolhouse, Saturday, March 7th, 10 am-3 pm. Bring seeds, cuttings, starter plants, or bulbs to exchange with neighbors and friends. Or come as you are, and choose from a variety of seeds to get your indoor or outdoor garden going!

Four speakers have been scheduled to share their expertise on these topics:

11 am       Meredith Hardin MG        Topic: Mason and other native bees

11:30        Joe Wujek       Topic: Growing, harvesting and curing garlic

12 Noon   Jacqueline Freeman.      Topic:   Bees and sunflowers

12:30.       Karen Palmer, MG.         Topic:   Plants and flowers that attract pollinators

Tables of information to distribute will cover : Naturescaping, Composter and Recycler Program, Arboretum, and the WSU Extention Small Acreage Program.

A Basket of Gardening tools, seeds, books and other relevant items will be raffled off, proceeds to go to VHPS for schoolhouse building maintenance projects. You need not be present to win!  Hope to see you all Saturday, March 7th, 10-3 pm at the schoolhouse!
